In the year of 2001, radio station KHWY FM in Barstow, California took a chance on someone who was desperately trying to fulfill a dream in working in radio. Driving from Los Angeles for over six years working the overnight shifts on the weekends, Tyrone DuBose had the dream of a lifetime. After six years, DuBose began working on another dream of a lifetime, an R&B radio program that counts down the top R&B songs in America over the last six decades, according to the national R&B singles charts. A chance meeting with his idol Casey Kasem was all the motivation he needed in moving forward. Soon, his show caught on, and is now playing in over 35 radio and Internet markets, as well as six countries, including the United Kingdom, Greece, and Spain, among others.
His National commercials include Ford Motor Company, Las Vegas Casino Hotels, and even Doritos Corn Chips. His unmistakable voice is sought after for many auto attendant Fortune 500 phone businesses around the country.
Another chance meeting with an executive producer gave Tyrone and other opportunity of a lifetime, becoming a regular music contributor on one of the highly touted and award-winning program called "UNSUNG", on the TV One Television Network. Tyrone tells the inner workings and feelings of such R&B groups and greats from the past like The Manhattan's, The Chi - Lites, Martha Wash, and many others.
This success has led to the creation of his new Webisode series called "Do You Know", an up to 2 minute segue on R&B trivia and little-known facts about R&B History.
Tyrone Dubose has become known throughout the country as a master R&B historian that leaves many people baffled over his remembrance of chart history, and many have called upon his expertise to help solidify an important part of the heritage of soul music.
