Tyrone DuBose is America’s premier R&B music historian—recognized as the definitive voice on the history, artistry, and cultural legacy of R&B in America. As a national radio host and trusted music commentator, he brings a commanding bass-baritone presence and an unmatched depth of knowledge, with a life’s work centered on preserving the stories behind the sound.

A Cincinnati, Ohio native, DuBose rose to national prominence as the host of Timeless Traxx, a syndicated radio program heard on more than 40 stations in five countries. His expertise has also reached national television, radio commercials, and major award show stages across the United States.

DuBose’s work is equally rooted in storytelling and context—an approach guided by early mentorship from legendary broadcaster Casey Kasem. He is also a valued contributor to TV One’s Unsung, where he delivers historical perspective on influential recording artists. Expanding into digital media, DuBose created the TNS R&B Legacy Series: A Moment in Music History, earning 1M+ views across social platforms and partner networks. You can also hear him daily on WDIA in Memphis, Tennessee, and he has appeared on the Sheryl Underwood Radio Program.

His debut book, The Four Seasons of R&B, reached #1 on both the new releases chart and the R&B bestsellers list.

DuBose’s impact has been honored with major awards and Hall of Fame inductions—most notably making history in 2026 as the first R&B historian inducted into two separate Hall of Fames, including the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame and the California Music Hall of Fame (April 2024). Through every broadcast, interview, and presentation, he continues to preserve R&B’s legacy with the care, context, and respect it deserves.
